Trauma recovery
Trauma is not the event. It is what stayed in the body when the event was over.

Trauma does not always come from something dramatic. An accident, a loss, a medical experience, a humiliation, years of small ruptures — the nervous system responds to overwhelm, not to the size of the story.
My practice is trauma-informed, which means we never go faster than your system can tolerate. You stay in control of what we open and when.
You may recognise yourself if…
Intrusive images, flashbacks or nightmares
Startling easily, scanning for danger, difficulty relaxing
Emotional numbness, or emotions that arrive too fast and too strong
Avoiding reminders — places, conversations, sensations
A sense of disconnection from your body or from others
Present-day difficulties that seem out of proportion to their trigger
How we work together
We begin with resourcing: safety, grounding, and a clear stop signal that belongs to you.
We then process, using EMDR and EFT, so that the memory can be stored as something that happened rather than something that is still happening.
We finish by integrating: what changes in daily life, in relationships, in the way you speak to yourself.
