Children & teenagers
Children often minimise what they are going through, to protect the adults they love.

I have spent more than twenty-five years teaching English to children. This long experience has taught me how to build trust, listen beyond words and adapt to each child's age, personality and way of expressing themselves.
Children sometimes need a neutral, warm adult to share what they are going through. They may minimise their difficulties because they do not want to worry their parents, or because they fear they will not be understood.
Psychotherapy can help them understand their emotions, manage their reactions and regain confidence, particularly when facing anxiety, school challenges, life changes or relationship difficulties.
You may recognise yourself if…
Stomach aches or headaches before school, with no medical cause
Sudden irritability, withdrawal or regression
Sleep difficulties, nightmares, refusal to sleep alone
Intense self-criticism, fear of failure, perfectionism
Difficulty with friendships, exclusion or bullying
Reactions to separation, bereavement, a move or a new sibling
How we work together
With younger children we work through play, drawing, story and movement — the languages they already speak.
With teenagers we work more directly, with a strict confidentiality frame that they are told about from the first minute.
The 50-minute session includes time to check in with the parents. They are involved without breaking the child's trust: I share direction and practical tools, not transcripts.
